Ran into my ex today at the grocery store. I was walking down one of the isles spinning my keys around my finger and I turned around because I heard footsteps and I’m paranoid, and my friend Stuart was imitating how I was walking and spinning my keys. I was so excited to see him because it had been so long since I last saw him. I stopped hanging out with him when my ex and I brike up because they are best friends and it was hard to see Stuart without my ex being there. So we were talking and I realized he must have been there with someone, so I looked around and saw my ex in the distance. Immediately got nervous because I hadn’t talked to my ex in about five months. He eventually came over and joined the conversation, and it wasn’t painful like I expected. I felt nothing. It was as if he was a stranger. I was so relieved because now I can hang out with Stuart and Joey and Mitch and Kyle without worrying about my ex being there. Plus, he got ugly and his new girlfriend is hideous so it makes it almost humorous to be around him.
